BALTIMORE (WBFF) — We all love the comfort of showering or bathing in warm water but, that may not be the best for your skin.
Sports medicine orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Mark Slabaugh, from Mercy Medical Center joined FOX45 Morning news to discuss health benefits and key takeaways of using ice baths.

"It decreases muscle soreness and also, helps to decrease inflammation, but for individuals that want to do it for the mental equity, it definitely has some advantages there. It helps you increase your mental equity, it releases dopamine, and endorphins just like when you hop into that cold shower, you just feel that desire to hop right back out and it’s the same thing with that, it just increases that desire to fight or flight," said Dr. Slabaugh.
